In this year’s ADDY Awards show, we batted well over .750 to maintain our slugging percentage. The big story unfolded when Principal and Co-Founder John Galvin was invited to the stage to receive a Judge’s Choice Award for the Inno-Pak brochure. Much to his surprise and the committee’s chagrin, the actual trophy was absent the event!

Stunned by the strange oversight and asked to address the rowdy crowd, Galvin responded by affecting Elvis’s velvety baritone: “Thank you…..thank you VERY much…” On Monday morning, a slapdash surrogate trophy appeared at our office via our next-door neighbors Salvato, Coe & Gabor. Rich Crabtree was kind enough to escort the medical tape-laden award to the shelf where it now rests awaiting a suitable replacement.

2007 CSCA Creative best judges found favor with one of our entries, the Inno-Pak corporate brochure. This piece took home Best-of -Category and, much to our surprise and delight, Best-of-Show! Congrats to our clients at Inno-Pak and to senior designer, Keith Novicki; designer, Conor McFerran; director of creative strategy, Douglas Burdick; free-lance writer, Lynn Glickman; Photographer, Christopher Kay; and creative director, Stephen Quinn. Oh, and extra props to Old Trail Printing for bearing gnarly wear and tear on their press to make this piece a reality. Thanks.

CSCA—the Columbus Society of Communicating Arts—our local design professional organization, is holding it’s annual end-of-year extravaganza this Thursday, November 15th at 6:30 at the Arena Grand theater in downtown C’bus. Come one, come all; word on the street is that Integrate is up for something…??

Despite what Kyle’s mom on Southpark would have us believe, not everything Canadian is blameworthy. Take music for example. The flood of great bands and singer-songwriters flowing from our neighbors to the north continues unabated and its variety is staggering. Fortunately, this mother lode of talent has an ear-candy store ripe for plunder or at least your listening pleasure: CBC Radio 3, http://radio3.cbc.ca/ is hands down one of the best music content sites we have seen.
